As the entire nation continues to reel with the sad demise of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, yet another suicide case has been reported. Telugu TV actress Kondapalli Sravani ended her life at her home in Hyderabad on September 8, late night. Kondapalli Sravani has been a part of Telugu TV shows Manasu Mamatha, Mounaragam, Naaticharami. As per reports, Kondapalli last WhatsApp status was, ‘I Love Life.’ Soon after the news of her death took over the social media, her fans and friends were shocked.
As per a report in Mumbai Mirror, Sravani ended her life after being harassed by a TikTok friend. The report suggests, the deceased met her friend named Devaraj Reddy of Kakinada in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh on the video-sharing app and became close friends. Reportedly, Devaraj approached the actress seeking roles in TV and she even got him a role in a serial. After being together for some time, he started blackmailing her threatening to release their private pictures and demanded one lakh rupees to delete the picture.
Agreeing to his conditions, Sravani had reportedly paid him Rs 30,000 online and Rs 80,000 in cash in installments. The actress had filed a complaint against the SR Nagar police on June 22.
Yesterday night, Sravani went to the bathroom and her family members thought she was taking a bath. When she didn’t come out for a long time, her mother opened the door and saw her hanging to the ceiling. Sravani was declared brought dead and was later Osmania General Hospital for postmortem.
