Ulrika Jonsson Opens Up On Being In A Sexless Marriage; Says 'Started Disliking My Body'
The 52-year-old Gladiators presenter Ulrika Jonsson in a recent interview revealed about her marriage with Brian Monet who apparently 'abandoned' her and why it fell apart. She shared about being in a sexless marriage and that led her to shut off herself physically and psychologically. She is currently trying her hands on a new dating app to find love as she became the face of Lumen’s latest Christmas campaign. Lumen is a dating app specially made for matures over 50.

In an interview with Metro.co.uk, she spoke about her marriage with Brian and stated, "It had a really detrimental effect on me. I started disliking myself; my body; I felt repulsive and started shutting myself off physically and psychologically. I became quite insecure about myself." Talking about how important is intimacy in a relationship, she said, "We all know that as relationships mature, sex is no longer the swinging from the chandeliers stuff and I’ve always found that “settled stage” quite reassuring. ‘But there has to be some intimacy in a relationship in order to sustain it. Unless it’s by prior agreement or someone is not well enough, obviously."

She also spoke about her current dating life and said that she is getting used to the app to find love. "I did have a date before I joined Lumen which was utterly terrifying but ultimately quite enjoyable once I’d got over all the hang-ups of being an out-of-practice 52-year old," she said.
