Urfi Javed lashes out at Jaya Bachchan for telling a pap, “I hope you double and fall’
Veteran actress Jaya Bachchan was recently on the receiving end after a video of her telling pap ‘I hope you double and fall’ went viral. She received huge criticism on social media as netizens brutally troll Jaya calling her ‘rude’. Even, a few celebrities shared their reactions on the same, and the latest one to voice her opinion is internet sensation Urfi Javed. The Bigg Boss OTT fame actress slammed Jaya Bachchan for being so rude to the paparazzi and advised people “let’s not be like her.”
On Tuesday, Urfi posted a viral video of Jaya and stated that people won't respect you because you're elder or more powerful, they'll respect if you're nice to them. She wrote, “Did she just say 'I hope you double and fall'. Please let's not be like her, let's hope all of us only rise. Be it the one behind the camera or in front. In her next follow-up post, Javed mentioned that she is aware of the fact that she is ruining her work opportunities by speaking up for wrong things in public. She added, “Trust me sometimes I hate it too that I’m so opinionated, I wanna control but dayum this mouth. I know I’m ruining my work opportunities by speaking up but yar chup nahi raha jata. I feel when you’re quiet on matters that don’t bother you, it shows how entitled you are. Apne ghar paani bikli aati hai, toh jinke ghar nahi aati unke liye hum kyu bole! Yeh wo waali baat lagti hai mujhe! I know all human beings can never be at equal level but at least we all can get equal opportunities to grow-for that we all need to raise our voices.”
A few days ago, actress-turned-politician Jaya Bachchan was snapped at the Lakme Fashion Week with her granddaughter Navya Nanda. They were surrounded by photographers who were clicking their photos. Just when one of the paps stumbled, Jaya said “Serves you right, I hope you double and fall.” And, this statement of the 74-year-old actress certainly did not go down well with netizens.
