VIRAL! Used Condom Spotted On Mumbai Local Seat! Passenger Shares Complaint Via Tweet, Leaving Internet In Disgust!
A passenger took to Twitter and informed the public and the Mumbai Local authorities about the presence of used condom on the seat
Maintaining public decency has become a major problem in many cities across India. Now, another incident from Mumbai has come to light and netizens are in complete disgust. The shocking incident occurred in Mumbai local - which are considered as the lifeline for Mumbaikars - has once again come under fire for its unhygienic conditions several times.
However, in a bizarre turn of events, a passenger spotted a used condom on the seat of an Ambernath slow local train.
The passenger took to Twitter and informed the public and the authorities about the incident. Sharing the picture, he wrote, “Well, what a sight. A used condom. Hello @drmmumbaicr, @RailMinIndia, @Central_Railway.This is 9.40 #Ambernath slow local. The train has crossed #CurreyRoad. @mumbairailusers.”
In the picture, the used condom was seen lying on the seat of the compartment. In a subsequent tweet, which was shared within an hour of raising the online complaint, the passenger stated that the used condom remained on the seat even when the train had reached Dombivali station.
Many were left furious and some even vented out their anger via the micro-blogging platform. A user demanded, “Please take an action.” Another referred to the incident as “a reflection of our petty mentality, otherwise, why do common people misuse public places.” One more called it “just 1st class things.”
Later, the Divisional Railway Manager of the Central Railways directed the Mumbai RPF to look into the matter.
For those unaware, Mumbai locals are divided into three lines and they carry millions of daily commuters to their destinations every day. But choosing to travel by local train is an experience in itself. However, it definitely isn't for the faint-hearted.
