Today, Virat Kohli is one of the most successful cricketers. However, apart from his performance on the pitch, Virat is also known to be a loving husband to Anushka Sharma and a doting father to Vamika. Although the couple has been enjoying so many years of marital bliss, interestingly, Virat was previously in a serious relationship with another actress before he tied the knot with Anushka in 2017.
Being one of the most successful Indian Cricketers from his debut match, Virat has enjoyed a massive fan following and has equally been involved in several relationships. However, one of them which attained a lot of buzz back in the day was with Brazilian-model turned actress, Izabelle Leite.
Leite made her debut in the Hindi film industry with Talaash: The Answer Lies Within. She was also seen in other movies such as Puraani Jeans and Sixteen, along with a few other prominent advertisement campaigns for top brands. Reportedly, Virat and Izabelle dated for two years before they broke up.
Virat and Izabelle had met in Singapore where the duo came together for an ad shoot. They became instant friends and dated one another secretly since Virat back then did not want to make his relationship public.
Nevertheless, their pictures went viral and they tried their best to cover up their relationship. While they kept mum about their relationship for the longest time, it was in around 2014 when Izabelle Leite confirmed that she dated Virat back in time, in an interview with Bollywood Hungama.
“Virat was one of the first Indian friends I had when I came to India. We were dating for quite a while. We were together for almost two years. But we didn't want to make it public. So yeah, Virat and I did have a relationship. But Sidharth is only my friend and yes, we do spend time together as well," Izabelle Leite told Bollywood Hungama.
However, things weren’t forever and the former couple never saw a happy union in the end. Virat and Izabelle broke up on mutual terms and they had no ill feelings for one another. In fact, Izabelle once candidly spoke about the same and mentioned that the two of them are still good friends.
“Yes, we were in a relationship for two years. This relationship ended with mutual consent. Now we are good friends," Izabelle confessed in her interview with Bollywood Hungama.
