If Indian skipper Virat Kohli is a prolific cricket player, you also have to agree that he is pretty good at football too. Virat is often seen playing soccer and shares some pictures and videos on his Instagram account. Having said that, Kohli took to his account where he is seen trying to score a goal while playing football but ends up with an ‘accidental crossbar challenge’. However, his reaction at the end of the video was pretty epic.
In the video, we get to see Virat taking a shot outside the box but the ball hits the crossbar and bounce back, leading him to gasp in exasperation. We can see Kohli with his head in his hands. While sharing the video, he captioned it with, ‘Accidental crossbar challenge’ followed by a laughing emoji. For the unversed, the idea of the crossbar challenge is to strike the crossbar as many times as you can which is actually a deceptively hard target to hit. Even professional soccer players fail far more times than they succeed.
Fans are extremely impressed with his football skills as one commented, “Ronaldo be like are you kidding me” while another one said, “King in every field.” There was another one who thought he should join football now, “@virat.kohli bhaya after retirement in cricket, join Indian football team.....,, our country should be top.....in football also…”
Meanwhile, Kohli was playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the latest season of the Indian Premier League 2021 (IPL 2021). His team was third in the table before the tournament got suspended due to the spike in COVID-19 cases and some of the team members tested positive for the virus. Virat Kohli will now gear up for World Test Championship against New Zealand in Southampton.
