Indian cricket team skipper, Virat Kohli is currently gearing up for the Australia 2020 tour. The team is all set to kick-start their full-fledged two months tour to Australia with the three-match ODI series starting from tomorrow, November 27. As the Australia tour 2020 commences soon, in a video shared on social media, Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli revealed the reason behind his planned absence during the tour. He shared he will not be present to play after the first test match.
On Twitter, BCCI posted a video where Virat Kohli opened up about his absence from the Australia 2020 tour. In the video, the Indian cricket team skipper said, “I would be flying back after the first test. And, that was purely based on the fact that we had a quarantine period both ways. I had explained the same to the selectors during our selection meeting. And, I wanted to be back home in time to be with my wife for the birth of our first child.” Kohli continued, “It is a very very special, and a very very beautiful moment in our lives. And, something that I truly want to experience, so, that was the reason behind my decision, which was communicated to the selectors during the selection meeting.”

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli is expecting his first child with wife, actress Anushka Sharma. The couple made the pregnancy announcement via a social media post. Virat and Anushka, both shared a picture of them, where Sharma is spotted caressing and flaunting her baby bump.
