WHAT! Kunal Kamra’s Comedy Show Cancelled After Bajrang Dal Objects, Says ‘He Mocks Hindu Gods And Goddesses In His Stand Up Shows’
Kunal Kamra is one of the most celebrated stand-up comedians who is known for his political satire. Kamra has a loyal fan base who would support him no matter what. But there are certain political authorities who are not in favour of him. They always try to sabotage his shows and drag him down. Now the same situation has happened again. His show scheduled in Gurugram was called off.

Kunal Kamra’s show which was scheduled for September 17, 2022, at Studio Xo Bar in Sector 29 of Gurugram has been canceled after Bajrang Dal complained to management against him and accused him of making jokes about the Hindu religion. This came after Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s (VHP) demanded to cancel the stand-up comedian's show and mentioned that he makes jokes about Hindu deities which may lead to a tense situation in the district.

Therefore, the organizer of the show mentioned that the management took the decision to cancel the show, He said, “Some people from Bajrang Dal came to us and complained regarding comedian Kunal Kamra who had earlier made jokes about a particular religion. Therefore management decided to cancel the show as we can’t hurt anybody’s religious sentiments and values.”

Earlier, on Friday, The VHP submitted a letter to the Deputy Commissioner of Gurugram to cancel a show of Kunal Kamra. The letter also said that the members of the VHP and Bajrang Dal will stage protests if the show is not canceled. In the letter, it was mentioned that he ‘mocks Hindu Gods and Goddesses in his comedy shows’.

Meanwhile, the VHP spokesperson took to Twitter handle and shared the letter. The tweet included, “These hatemongers must be booked under penal provisions of law. Can’t be allowed to perform in public. The Gurugram police should take action.” He further added, “By adopting cheap tactics in the name of freedom of expression, such people are out to kill art. Hindu community will not forgive them. How can the blatant ridicule of the symbols of Hindu pride be part of an art or culture? The Hindu community is tolerant, but not cowardly. The Hindu community knows well how to deal with such alleged artists in a democratic manner.”

He even urged Haryana police to immediately take note of this matter and announce the cancellation of the program, otherwise, the Hindu society will be forced to protest.
