Operation Sindoor was a targeted mission by the Indian Armed Forces aimed at dismantling terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), following the Pahalgam terror attack. Wing Commander Vyomika Singh reported that nine terror sites were successfully destroyed, with careful selection to avoid civilian casualties and infrastructure damage.
In response to the operation, Fawad Khan posted on Instagram: "My deepest condolences to the families of those injured and killed in this shameful attack. I pray for the souls of the deceased and strength for their families." His comments drew criticism from Indian audiences, including Ganguly, who found his stance contradictory given his previous work in Indian cinema.
Additionally, Ganguly praised the Indian government's decision to ban Pakistani content on OTT platforms, stating, "Hats off to Modi Govt for banning Pak streaming content! In times of tension, we must protect our digital borders." The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting had issued a notice advising all OTT platforms and media streaming services in India to discontinue content originating from Pakistan, citing national security concerns.
