VIDEO: Bollywood seeks Bappa's blessings!
The first day of the 11-day long festival saw Bollywood stars seeking blessings from Bappa
We told you yesterday how B-Town actors are bringing Lord Ganesha home (Bollywood stars ring in Ganesh Chaturthi, Sep 5). From Salman Khan to Ranbir Kapoor, Bollywood brought in the festival with much fervour.
The Kapoor family continued their tradition of celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi at RK Studios in Chembur. While the practice was started by Raj Kapoor in his heydays, today his sons and grandchildren have taken the legacy forward. Yesterday too, Ranbir – looking dapper in a blue kurta and churidaar – joined his uncles Randhir and Rajiv Kapoor as they did the Ganesh aarti together.
Salman’s Bandra residence saw a flurry of visitors all through the day. Malaika Arora, who seems to be in the mood to reconcile with husband Arbaaz Khan, came to Galaxy Apartments with her sister Amrita Arora. Dia Mirza too put in an appearance with her husband Sahil Sangha. Bhushan Kumar and his wife Divya Khosla Kumar were spotted as well. Sohail Khan was seen bonding with Vatsal Seth and Freaky Ali actor Jas Arora.
If the Khan-daan saw visitors flooding their house, the scene was not too different at Anil Kapoor’s residence in Juhu, where the actor was celebrating the festival. Farah Khan was one of the first to arrive with her triplets Diva, Anya and Czar. Sanjay Kapoor came with his wife Maheep and daughter Shanaya. Anil’s longtime friends David Dhawan and Satish Kaushik also came in to seek blessings.
Jeetendra is known to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi at home and this year was no exception. The senior actor opened the doors of his house to the media as he and his son Tusshar performed the aarti.
