Abhishek Bachchan Signs New Film, Will Be Back With A Thriller

Abhishek Bachchan is headed back to the big screen after a lull in his career. The actor, who was last seen in Housefull 3 in 2016, will be collaborating with director Nishikant Kamat on a project which will reportedly be a thriller.

The film will be produced by KriArj entertainment and Kyta Productions.

"Abhishek has loved the idea and he is charged up for this film as he has never tried his hands at thriller films. There is no specific prep work required for the film," a source was quoted as saying by a news agency.

"The shoot for the film will begin from May this year and hopefully, the film will release during winter. The film will mostly be shot in two schedules," added the source.

Apart from this project, KriArj entertainment have also tied up with John Abraham's production house JA Entertainment for a six movie deal and Anushka Sharma's Clean Slate Films.

Abhishek who has already read the script is pretty kicked about commencing work on the film.

The actor has mostly been seen in comedies recently with the Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone starrer Happy New Year, which released in 2014 being his comeback vehicle after an absence of a few years.

Nishikant on the other hand has a resume full of action flicks and thrillers including the 2015’s sleeper hit Drishyam starring Ajay Devgn and John Abraham starrer Force.
