Irrfan Khan has been away from work since the past two weeks. Initially it was reported that he was down with jaundice and advised bed rest.
Now, the actor has come out in the open and hinted that it may be a rare disease that he has been suffering from. The good news is that the final diagnosis is yet to come, and thus Irrfan has requested fans to not speculate and wish him luck. Read on his full statement right here:

Sometimes you wake up with a jolt with life shaking you up. The last fifteen days, my life has been a suspense story. little had I known that my search for rare stories would make me find a rare disease. I have never given up and have always fought for my choices and always will.
My family and friends are with me and we are working it out the best possible way. In trying times, please don't speculate as I will myself share with you my story within a week - ten days, when the further investigations come with a conclusive diagnosis. Till then, wish the best for me!

The 51-year-old actor was set to leave for Chandigarh on February 21 to shoot for his Amazon Prime series, but he stayed back owning to his health. Once he is fully recovered he will be back on sets of the project. After that he is set to start working on Vishal Bhardwaj's next opposite Deepika Padukone and then Hindi Medium 2.
