A few minutes back, we told you about Anushka and
Virat’s Mehendi outfits. Now, let’s please our eyes with their beautiful ring
ceremony attires.
Looks like a lot of thinking and planning has gone behind
their outfits for all functions. After all, it was the year’s most awaited
wedding.
Anushka chose the theme of roses for her look. She put a
bundle of roses in her bun and wore Sabyasachi’s velvet saree with zardosi
embroidery. With just a simple black dot bindi, Anushka looked elegant.
Designer Sabyasachi gave out details about the
couple’s outfits on his official handle. He wrote, “For her engagement,
Anushka @anushkasharma wanted to wear a Sabyasachi velvet saree. And we made it in
our signature Gulkand Burgundy. It was hand-embroidered using miniature pearls
and the finest quality zardosi and marori. She wore a stunning uncut diamond
and pearl choker with matching studs. The entire look was complemented with
kohl-rimmed eyes, red roses and our now iconic micro dot bindi.”
Virat Kohli, on the other hand, chose an
electric blue three-piece suit with a white floral brooch. He looked handsome,
while his ladylove looked pretty in maroon.
Hmmm, quite a ‘rosy’ affair, we say!
