Deepshikha files physical abuse case against ex-husband

Bollywood-television actress Deepshikha Nagpal has filed a police complaint against her ex-husband Kaishav Arora, accusing him of trespass, theft and assault.
According to Deepshikha, Kaishav, who is also an actor, attacked her on March 8, which also happens to be International Women’s Day. The duo got divorced just 4-5 days ago.
After filing the complaint at Bangur Nagar police station yesterday, she told SpotboyE: “The cops are very supportive. This is not the first time I am filing such a complaint against Kaishav. But back then, I thought everyone concerned should give this marriage another chance. But if the man repeats the act and beats me up on Women’s Day, I will not keep quiet. If somebody like me keeps mum, what message does that send to thousands of homemakers?”
Deepshikha added: “I need protection and justice; that’s all I am asking for. Nobody has the right to resort to violence with a woman -- be it me or anybody else. I don’t want to interfere in anybody’s personal life, but I need protection for mine.”
Deepshikha and Kaishav got married in 2012, after falling in love on the sets of their movie Yeh Dooriyan. Last year, she reportedly filed a police complaint, alleging that Kaishav had threatened to kill her.

Deepshikha was first married to actor Jeet Upendra from whom she got divorced in 2007. The couple has two children.
