Kumkum Bhagya Plummets, The Kapil Sharma Show Back In The Game
Week 36 (between September 3 and September 9) had some interesting insights to offer as far as the ratings race is concerned. Shabir Ahluwalia and Sriti Jha-starrer Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya, which was at the top spot for several weeks now, has lost its position to Colors show Shakti- Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki. Needless to say, the audience lapped up Harman (Vivian Dsena) and Soumya’s (Rubina Dilaik) separation track after the revelation of the latter’s identity as a transgender.

Another interesting result that the latest ratings threw up is that Sony’s The Kapil Sharma Show which had dropped to the 10th position in week 35 has moved up 5 notches and acquired the 5th spot in week 36. On September 3, Super Dancer judges Shilpa Shetty, Anurag Basu and Geeta Kapur made an appearance on the show, while the September 4 episode saw Baar Baar Dekho team -- Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif. The two actors might not have managed to get rave reviews for their film, but at least, it made the cast and crew of the comedy show smile.

Further, Zee TV’s Brahmarakshas - Jaag Utha Shaitaan climbed a step up and stood at number 2. Star Plus show Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, dropped in week 36 and was at the 3rd position.

Another poor performer this time around was Sony SAB’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. The show, which was at position 5 in during week 35 dipped to the 9th spot. Is the comedy getting repetitive for the audiences?
