Aamir and Kiran skipped the Satyamev Jayate Water Cup tournament in Pune and film critic Anupama Chopra took to twitter to say that swine flu was the reason for their absence.
She tweeted, “@aamirkhan & #kiranrao couldn’t be here bcause of swine flu. So he requested @imsrk to come. @satyamevjayate water cup! #inspiration.”

While there were many highlights of the event, what caught our attention was Kiran Rao’s apprehension about Aamir doing the role.
Aamir Khan revealed how initially, Kiran was against the idea of Aamir playing the music director, Shakti who is an extremely creepy man. She felt it wasn’t the right role for Aamir, especially after Dangal, where he played a father and an Olympic winner.
In fact, Aamir was also not very confident about playing the role. Aamir said, "I did not see myself as the character Shakti Kumar but still I did a screen test - it was a challenge for me to play this character. While I was giving the test, I enjoyed playing the character. When we saw the screen test all of us laughed and I decided to do it."
