We were the first ones to exclusively tell you about anchor Arpita Tiwari’s murder. Amit Hazra, 27, an acquaintance of Arpita, was arrested by the police in connection with her murder a month ago. However, reportedly, Amit has now pleaded not guilty and has blamed Arpita’s boyfriend Pankaj Jadhav of killing her.

According to a report in The Asian Age, during the initial investigation, Amit has revealed that Pankaj and Arpita has a strained relationship for the last two years. He alleged that Jadhav might have orchestrated the entire scene in a bid to get rid of her. Deepak Phatangare, senior police inspector at the Malwani police station said, “We have not given a clean chit to Jadhav. However we have no solid proof against him.” “The investigation is underway, and if investigations reveal any new findings, the appropriate arrests will be made,” he added further.

In an exclusive interview with Spotboye.com, Arpita’s sister, Shweta had revealed how nobody in their family liked Jadhav. “Arpita had chosen him, but nobody in the family liked him,” she said. Revealing shocking details about Jadhav’s behaviour towards Arpita, her siser had also said, “He was jobless. And, I had even seen him hitting Arpita. Who would want his/her sister to get married to such a guy? He was so aggressive. He used to drink and lose his senses.”

Arpita Tiwari, 25, was found dead at Manavsthal Heights, a high-rise in Malwani in Malad (West), where Amit Hazra lived, on December 11, 2017. Reportedly, she had come to the apartment with her boyfriend Pankaj Jadhav. The trio went out drinking and returned to Hazra’s apartment at around 3 am. Tiwari’s body was found in the duct of the building at around 8.30 am. Initially, the police thought of it to be an accidental death, suspect suicide. But later, on probing Hazra and Jadhav, registered a murder case.
