Recently, Rhea Chakraborty filed a petition in Supreme Court seeking transfer of the case filed by Sushant Singh Rajput's father from Bihar to Mumbai. Yesterday, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar gave his nod for the CBI inquiry in SSR’s suicide case. Now, as the hearing of Rhea’s plea is underway, Supreme Court questioned Mumbai Police for quarantining Bihar SP Vinay Tiwary who landed in Mumbai to oversee the probe into the actor's death.
“It doesn't send a good message to quarantine police officers from Bihar," says Justice Roy as he hears Rhea Chakraborty's plea to transfer Sushant's case to Mumbai. Supreme Court questioned confinement of Bihar top cop by Mumbai police. As per reports, Justice Hrishikesh Roy questioned the quarantining of the IPS officer from Patna, Bihar by officials in Mumbai and said that it did not send a good message as all eyes were on the case. Justice Roy asked the officials to ensure everything was done in a professional manner.
Not only that, SC even asked Maha Govt to put details of SSR investigation on record. Republic TV reports, ‘Supreme Court judge Justice Roy asked the state of Maharashtra to put on record the details of the investigation related to the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Further, Justice Roy assured the concern raised by the late actor;s family about the Mumbai Police destroying evidence and said that it will be taken care of.
To oversee the probe into Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, Bihar SP Vinay Tiwari landed in Mumbai. But following the safety precations, Tiwari was sent to ‘forced quarantine’ and it go on to till August 15. Bihar Director General of Police (DGP) Gupteshwar Pandey is fuming over the ‘forceful quarantine’ of Tiwari said it wasn’t needed.
