On Saturday Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray connected with the film and television show producers requesting them to strictly follow the COVID-19 norms during the shoot. He requested the film fraternity to follow the rules chalked out by the State government, cooperate with police authorities in terms of shoot locations and extensions given to the shooting hours. This virtual meeting saw film producers such as Ritesh Sidhwani, Rakesh Mehra, Madhu Bhojwani, and Nitin Ahuja associated with the Producers Guild in attendance.
Ritesh Sidhwani took to his social media account and shared, "A very productive and wonderful meeting between the @CMOMaharashtra, @producers_guild, @CPMumbaiPolice and task force! A genuine effort to understand some of the constraints faced by the film industry." His Tweet continued, "It was great to have the assurance of the CMO to find a solution, with a commitment on our part to abide by the protocols and guidelines. We are all in this together @OfficeofUT @AUThackeray @MumbaiPolice" In the virtual meeting CM has asked the producers to share information of the shooting locations, schedule and timing allocated for the shoot.
Further assuring that accordingly responsibilities will be assigned to the Mumbai Police to coordinate to see if the rules and regulations are followed.
The meeting also saw additional Chief Secretary to CM Ashish Kumar Singh and Principal Secretary to CM Vikas Kharge.
