One of the longest running shows on Indian television, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been making the headlines for over a month now for all the wrong reasons. After coming under fire for mistreating the actors and not paying their dues, actress Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, who essayed the role of Mrs. Roshan Singh Sodhi for the past 15 years, quit the show and alleged the makers of mental and sexual harassment. Now, hours after an FIR (First Information Report) was registered, producer Asit Kumarr Modi has denied all the allegations.
In an interaction with ETimes, Jennifer had confirmed the news. She had revealed that after patiently waiting for over a month, she went to the Powai police station again on Monday night. She spent about 5 hours before the FIR was finally registered. Following her example, actresses Priya Ahuja Rajda, Monika Bhadoriya and former director Malav Rajda too opened up about the injustice they had to face at the hands of the makers of the show.
