Paoli Dam wished her Sanjhbaati co-actor Lily Chakraborty Happy Birthday. The actress shared a picture with her on Twitter. Sanjhbaati is directed by Saibal Bandyopadhyay and Leena Gangyopadhyay.

“I got a chance to share screen space for the first time with this wonderful human being and an actor par excellence in #Sanjhbaati. Love you Dida; আমাদের সকলের প্রিয় লিলি দি Happy Birthday #LilyChakraborty,” she wrote.


Lily Chakraborty is best known for her work in Jana Aranya (1975), Chokher Bali (2003) and Herbert (2006). She has been part of several contemporary movies. Her latest releases include Durgeshgorer Guptodhon and she will be next seen in the Sanjhbati.  

‘Sanjhbati’ movie will showcase relationship from a completely different angle. Dev will play the character of a suburban young man who comes to the city and meets a young girl played by Paoli in unusual circumstances. Lily Chakraborty plays the main protagonist in the film. The veteran actress plays the role of an elderly woman who is in the center of the narrative.

The first look of the movie was released in June. The social drama marks the first project under the banner of Bengal Talkies and is expected to release during Christmas this year.

In this movie Dev will be seen in completely different avatar. In last few years Dev is trying to balance his career between mainstream and urban content based cinema. Meanwhile, Paoli Dam has already worked with this director duo on their debut film and she is so excited to work with them once again.
