While we may, rather might have, faintly heard that Ayushmann Khurrana's wife Tahira Kashyap was not too comfortable after she saw him doing an intimate scene with Yami Gautam. But what happened after that? Nobody has asked him--- and neither has he opened up. But we did, when we caught up with him at Sun-N-Sand (Juhu) while he was promoting his upcoming Sriram Raghavan directorial Andhadhun (co-starring Tabu). The actor was in a frank and forthcoming mood and answered the question(s) with his chin up.
So yeah, the big disclosure he made was that he and Tahira had hit a rough patch in their marriage. We told him that Tahira was uneasy about his hot scene with Yami and he immediately said, "Of course, she was. I was wanted by everyone (after Vicky Donor became a hit). We were also going through a rough patch. She was not ready for all this." Did she ask him to induct a 'No Kissing/Lovemaking Clause' in his contract with filmmakers? "She wanted to of course that I should not kiss on screen. You see, were like the first boyfriend and girlfriend of each other (when we fell in love at a very young age)," Khurrana replied. Added the Andhadhun actor, "But Tahira is also an artiste. She has grown tremendously. I was very immature when I married. Plus, we had a long-distance marriage (Tahira stayed in Chandigarh) for the longest time. I am glad that things are good now. SEE VIDEO BELOW
Tahira and Ayushmann first met at a tuition class when they were in their teens, and were attracted to each other almost instantly. However, they took some time before confessing their feelings to each other. They have been married for 8 years and are parents to two kids- Virajveer and Varushka,
How did they come to terms, eventually? "Every relationship needs time. If you give time to your partner, he/she will feel much more secure," Ayushmann concluded.
