Kangana Ranaut Comments On Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Katrina & Kareena; Singles Out Taapsee Pannu On Sasti Copy Controversy- EXCLUSIVE
Kangana Ranaut in a no-holds barred exclusive conversation with SpotboyE.com speaks up on the "Sasti copy" controversy that was targeted at Taapsee Pannu
Kangana Ranaut doesn’t mince her words. She is fearless and a woman with strong opinions, who speaks her mind. Her sister Rangoli usually puts forth her thoughts on social media and during one such instance, she had called Taapsee Pannu, a “sasti copy” of Kangana Ranaut. So she had tweeted, “Kuch log Kangana ko copy kar ke he apni dukaan chalate hain, magar pls note, they never acknowledge her not even a mention of her name in praising the trailer, last I heard Taapsee ji said Kangana needs a double filter and Tapsee ji you need to stop being a sasti copy”
It erupted into a huge controversy. Now, ahead of her film Judgementall Hai Kya’s release on July 26, we got talking to Kangana Ranaut and obviously asked her about the “Sasti copy” comment passed by her sister against Taapsee Pannu. We also pointed out Taapsee’s response on the comment as the actress in an exclusive conversation with us had said, “If she thinks I am a copy of Kangana in any way, sasta or mehenga, I take it as a compliment because she is a really good actress. Maybe Rangoli said ‘sasta copy’ because according to her, Kangana is the highest paid actress today, so in that reference, I might be a sasti copy because definitely I don’t earn as much as she does.”
So, when we told Kangana about the Badla actress’ response, she replied, “Well, that is very gracious of her. She is very gracious and in any way, don't we as contemporaries inspire each other? She started in the South just around the same time as I did and she is my contemporary and so many times consciously and subconsciously we inspire each other. I feel whether it is Deepika's infectious fitness routine or Alia's chirpiness or whether it is Katrina's Miss Congeniality personality, it is always what subconsciously we all get from each other and the way Kareena is being so consistent with her work!”
She further said, “But, I always say that if things are in the right spirit it should be taken lightly I mean when it comes to me and my sister everything becomes too serious and when people are taking digs at us it is funny. So I think we should look at it the same way. She was also taking a dig, the way everybody does on Twitter.”
This seems to be a never-ending debate. Speaking of her film, Kangana is paired opposite her Queen co-star Rajkummar Rao in this Ekta Kapoor production.
