Shefali Shah calls her onscreen daughter Alia Bhatt the ‘most focused’ actor in Bollywood!
Veteran actress Shefali Shah has proved her versatility as a talented actress with every film that she does. Her performance in Alia Bhatt’s Netflix movie ‘Darlings’ received much love and appreciation from critics and audiences alike. She essayed the role of Alia’s mother in the same and their strong bond left everyone mighty impressed. While the mom-to-be admires Shefali and admits to being her fan, Shah calls Bhatt the ‘most focused’ actor.
In an exclusive interview with SpotboyE, the Delhi Crime actress gushed over her bond with Alia and called her the focused actor. We play a fun game with Shah wherein she has to say a word that instantly comes to her mind. For Alia, she said ‘focused’ and for Vidya Balan, Shefali stated 'generous person'. When asked about Amitabh Bachchan, the Jalsa actress said ‘legend.’ And her Doctor G co-star Ayushmann Khurrana, Shefali said 'interesting choices.' Shefali also spoke about her potential not tapped well in the film industry before Delhi Crimes. She shared, “Yes, I do feel that way my potential was not tapped well before I did Delhi Crime. I have always received a lot of love and appreciation but it was not translating into work. There were directors and filmmakers who used to say I am the finest actress but nothing in getting work. It was not like they were casting me or throwing roles at me. So, yes it has taken very long but I am loving where I am today. It is said in Hindi, “der aaye durust aaye. I am so happy that I finally get to do the kind of work I always wanted to do. The phrase better late than never perfectly describes my journey.”
Shefali is currently riding high on the success of her latest web show Delhi Crime Season 2 where she reprised her role of DCP Vartika Chaturvedi.
