Box-Office Collection, Day 2: Tiger Zinda Hai Goes Steady, Makes Rs 35.25 Crore
Tiger is BACK and how! Salman Khan  recorded his career’s highest opening with Ali Abbas Zafar’s Tiger Zinda Hai starring Katrina Kaif. The film opened to a massive figure of Rs 35 crore (early estimates) making it Bollywood’s highest opener ever, second to  Prabhas-Anushka Shetty starrer Bahubali 2 (Rs 41 crore), which was a Tamil film.

Day 2 collections are out and according to boxofficeindia.com the film has made Rs 35.25 crore (approx), which means that the Salman-Katrina venture has managed to maintain a steady pace.

This is a big achievement for the entire team as not only for Salman, but the film was also important for Ali Abbas Zafar, whose last film Sultan was a huge hit as well. Expectations riding on him were quite high as he had taken the reigns from Kabir Khan, who directed the first instalment, Ek The Tiger, (Rs 32.93 crore) a huge box-office money-spinner.

The reviews coming in for the film are extremely positive as well. Both masses and critics have given the film thumbs up. SpotboyE.com Editor, Vickey Lalwani reviewed the film and rated it 3.5 stars, assuring a magnificent opening of the film

“I wouldn't mind betting my last shirt that the foursome (Abbas, Salman, Kat, Adi) did not sleep a wink last night. But now they can cushion themselves to brace the cold tonight, and wake up tomorrow to see the magnificent Day 1 collection, which wouldn't amass only if our janta jaani janardhan wants to see just rubbish. Ji haan, Tiger Zinda Hai. And he killed the wolves. Or, is the urban dictionary phrase 'he killed it'?” he wrote.
This is a long weekend and Tiger Zinda Hai is sure to reap benefits of the same. Let’s see what Day 3 has in store.
