The six day numbers are a decent 52.50 crore nett and with such steady collections there is a chance the film will do good business in the final count.

SpotboyE.com Editor Vickey Lalwani rated Mission Mangal 4.5 stars and wrote, “Akshay leads the way and he looks so handsome in those glasses. Brilliant performance. Watch him in the scenes with the antagonist Dalip Tahil. Watch how he treats his second-in-command Vidya and you will have a lump in your throat. Watch him how he fires Sonakshi. The list is long. And don't forget to note in this highly engaging film how Mr Kumar beautifully underplays himself!”

On the other hand, he rated Batla House 3.5 stars and wrote, “John Abraham is at his impressive best, sinking into the character like there's no tomorrow. Hmmm... maybe his best performance till date. Watch him in the scene where he says goodbye to his wife Mrunal Thakur in the car. Watch him in the scene where his senior tells him to not refuse the medal of honour. Watch him in the scene where he has a long discussion with Nora Fatehi. The list is long.”
