The Zoya Factor, Prassthanam, Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas Box-Office Collection Day 1: Karan Deol's Debut Film Beats Sonam And Sanjay Starrers

Lucky Charm Sonam Kapoor's luck didn’t work at the box-office. The Zoya Factor co-starring Dulquer Salmaan, Angad Bedi and Sanjay Kapoor set up a clash with other two Bollywood films Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas starring debutants Sunny Deol’s son Karan Deol and actress Shahher Bambba and Sanjay Dutt, Manisha Koirala, Ali Fazal among other starrer Prassthanam. But looks like it was not a good Friday for The Zoya Factor makers and but a great Friday for Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas makers.

The Day 1 box-office collections are out and let us tell you debutantes Karan and Sahher starrer Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas has beaten The Zoya Factor and Prassthanam at the box-office. According to a report in Box Office India, The Zoya Factor and Prassthanam collected around Rs 85 lakh each on the day of their release, while Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas opened with a better opening with a collection of Rs 1.10 crore.

The report read, “The film picked up 7 lakhs nett in Kerala although more was expected as the actor in the film has some value there but this 7 lakh is still better than what films like Dream Girl and Chhichhore did on day one.” On the other hand, Dream Girl and Chhichhore continue to run strong at the box office.

SpotboyE Editor Vickey Lalwani rated The Zoya Factor with 2.5 stars and Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas with 2 stars. For The Zoya Factor, he wrote, “First things first. Give me the Sonam Kapoor of Neerja, Padman, Veere Di Wedding and Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To Aisa Laga. I have always believed and mind you it is not subjective, that it's the director (Abhishek Sharma in this case) who contributes more than the actor himself in bringing out a performance. You got the drift. right?”

While for Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas he wrote, “As Old As The Hills In Which An Insipid Karan Deol Roams. This was my first heading, but I changed it just before posting. I think you got it by now what Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas is all, err,  only about. What came over Sunny Deol to launch his elder son Karan in a movie which captures mountains and glaciers more than him?”
