Aamir Khan Reacts On Kangana Ranaut Accusing Him For Not Standing Up For Manikarnika
Aamir Khan celebrates his 54th birthday today. The superstar met the media, this morning, to celebrate his special day. At the press conference, Mr Perfectionist was asked to give his take on Kangana Ranaut slamming him for not being there for her and her film, Manikarnika. Here’s what he has to say
Kangana Ranaut created hysteria when she called out Bollywood for boycotting her. She even named Aamir Khan and Alia Bhatt, in particular, for not supporting her. We met Aamir this morning, as the superstar called for a media meet, to celebrate his 54th birthday.
Superstar cut his birthday cake and celebrated the occasion with the media, like every year, pictures of which you can see below. During the questionnaire, we asked Aamir if Kangana called him up to wish him as she was upset with him, to which, Aamir quickly asked, "Upset? Kyun?" When we told him about her statement, Mr Perfectionist replied, “Aaisa unhone mujhe toh nahi bola hai" Well, now that was a typical Aamir Khan reply. Isn’t it?

For those who’ve come in late, Kangana Ranaut had recently slammed many Bollywood celebs, including Alia Bhatt and Aamir Khan, who didn’t stand up for her film Manikarnika, as she stood up for their films like Raazi and Dangal. She had said, "Arre yaar, iska na kuch ho jaye, main chup baithta hoon!" How do they do that? How does it even work? For me, this is a revelation that this film, what Rani Laxmibai has done, is this freedom only mine? Doesn't it belong to anybody else? When Aamir called me for Dangal, Secret Superstar, I went all the way to Ambani's house. Dangal, for me, was a film about women empowerment. But they don't have time for any of my trials. I have two-three films coming up, but I don't expect people to write about them." Wonder if Ms Ranaut will make that call to Aamir soon.
