Keeping the audience in anticipation for the lead role alongside Kartik Aaryan in the third part of the cherished musical saga Aashiqui 3, producers Bhushan Kumar and Anurag Basu have now disclosed their choice: Tripti Dimri. This announcement follows her rising acclaim after the success of the film Animal which made her new national crush as Zoya AKA Bhabhi 2. According to a Pinkvilla report, the creators have chosen the Laila Majnu star to play the romantic interest opposite Kartik. Validating this decision, a source closely associated with the film's production team disclosed that Tripti has been a major topic of discussion after the incredible success of Animal, and the creators believe she will bring immense chemistry with Kartik Aaryan on screen. Talks have been ongoing for a while, and the makers have finalized her as the female lead. Previous speculations arose amid rumors hinting at Tara Sutaria being considered for the said role, spurred by sightings of her and Kartik together at a Mumbai diner a few weeks ago. Producer Mukesh Bhatt refuted these casting rumours and speaking to Times Now on record he said, "It is absolute nonsense. There's not even an iota of truth in this. She is not even in consideration. Shall I tell you the truth? No girl will be considered for the role before my music is ready. The songs were the stars of the first and second Aashiqui. 

Aashiqui 3 is anticipated to commence filming in the initial months of 2024. Furthermore, Tripti has interesting projects lined up including Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam alongside Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk, as well as Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video opposite Rajkummar Rao.
