After Deepika Padukone’s Exit From Luv Ranjan’s Next Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Will Shraddha Kapoor Step In Her Shoes?
After Deepika Padukone has disassociated herself from Luv Ranjan’s project as he was called out during the #MeToo campaign, the latest report states that Shraddha Kapoor may come in as the leading actress in Ranjan directorial, which already stars Ajay Devgn and Ranbir Kapoor in the key roles
It all started when Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor were
spotted outside Pyaar Ka Punchnama director Luv Ranjan's house. It didn’t take
long for netizens to start the hashtag #NotMyDeepika. The call came in the wake
of #MeToo, during which the director was called out by a woman. In an interview
with Mid-day last year, the woman had named the director for sexually abusing
her. As soon as the hashtag #NotMyDeepika started trending, the actress was
asked if she would ever work with a #MeToo accused director, the Padmaavat
actress had clearly denied working with any person, who has been called out in
the #MeToo campaign.
Later, Mid-day cleared that Deepika had disassociated herself from Luv Ranjan’s project. But now a latest report states that Shraddha may fill in dimpled beauty’s place in Ranjan's directorial, which also stars Ajay Devgn and Ranbir Kapoor. According to a report in Filmfare, a source revealed that Shraddha Kapoor may come in as the leading actress. The source close to the film revealed, “Shraddha is in talks with Luv and makers are reportedly keen to have on board. She has not worked with Ranbir and Ajay before so the project got her really excited. She even met Ajay to discuss the film. If all works out well, they will make an official announcement soon.”
Earlier, there were reports that Ranbir and Ajay’s choc-a-bloc schedules have further delayed the film. It was also reported that the duo may also walk out gradually, to avoid any controversy.
