FASHION CULPRITS OF THE DAY: Mouni Roy, Kim Sharma, Ananya Panday
After Mouni Roy's Exit And Rakul Preet Singh's Red Flag, Tamannaah Bhatia Signs Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Bole Chudiyan
Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Bole Chudiyan To See Anurag Kashyap In A Pivotal Role?
Rakul was offered the film, being directed by Nawaz’s brother, Shamas Nawaz Siddiqui and produced by Rajesh Bhatia and Kiran Bhatia under their banner Woodpecker Movies, around 20 days back. The actress didn’t have time and dates available to allocate to the film and hence refused the offer. Thereafter, it has been tough for the makers to get someone on board in place of Mouni, who claimed that she left the film, and not vice versa.
Talking about the controversy, we had brought to you versions of both the parties. While producer Rajesh Bhatia said, “We deny any one has been rude to Mouni, there were 25 people in conference room when she walked in 3 hours late for a reading. In fact she has been irresponsible and busy holidaying and attended only 1/1/2 reading. We have invested a big amount of money and if asking someone in a civil manner to be professional and committed to the role is being rude then, sorry we are in the serious business of making movies with high stakes and it’s not a hobby. From the time we have signed her, she and her agency Toabh have been highly unprofessional and irresponsible, even after signing the MOU and paying her. Even for the final narration held two days back on 29/5/19, she walked in at 5:30 pm for a 3 pm narration embarrassing the producers, director and actors. As for the role, it’s one of the best scripts and as for creatives it’s director’s call but let me ensure you the role of girl in the film is central and from girls point of view with 5 songs. It’s amusing to hear her complaining of full-fledged heroine role which is far superior unlike her other blink & miss roles. Frankly, I think she knows she is been guilty & just trying to defend herself & be in the news.”
Interestingly, this is not the first time Nawaz’s film has been heroine-less. You may recall, years back, SpotboyE.com had told you how Chitrangda Singh walked out of his film, Babumoshai Bandookbaaz when the director Kushan Nandy asked the actress, who was clad in a petticoat, to sit on Nawaz in a vulgar way. Chitrangda quit the film, but the producers had blamed it on her unprofessionalism.
Coming to Bole Chudiyan, tough times for the makers ahead. It’s already been more than 20 days, that Mouni quit and there is no replacement as yet. Any takers?
