After Ranbir Kapoor, Now Zareen Khan Stands Up For Mahira Khan

Mahira Khan has been called many names on social media
after pictures of her smoking a cigarette with Ranbir Kapoor went viral.
After Pakistani actors Ali Zafar and Humaima Malick,
now Salman Khan’s discovery Zareen Khan has stepped up and defended
Mahira.
In an interview with a leading daily, Zareen commented on
the hot topic. She said: “Oh! She is a girl, she is wearing a short dress and
she is a Muslim, she is from Pakistan… I know all these things. But I think
people should understand that everybody is an individual and rather than
judging other people, you should take care of yours. If you like something,
watch it. If you don’t, then don’t watch it.”
She further added, “Everybody has an opinion, everyone
behaves as if they are out to take over the world and correct the world, they
give out these statements thinking this is how they are contributing to
correcting the world by catching hold of a particular human being and trying to
make them feel bad.”
Earlier, Ranbir too had stood up for Mahira and said: “I’ve gotten to know Mahira in a personal capacity over the last few
months. She is somebody who I admire and respect, for her achievements and even
more for the person she is. It is very unfair the way she is being judged and
spoken about. What is also sad is the inequality in judgment just because she
is a woman. I request you to stop the negativity and move on with your
beautiful god gifted lives.”
