Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is quite a veteran when it comes to the slaying Cannes red carpet. She has been a regular at the international film festival for years now since she made her debut in 2002. Aish so far has made 18 appearances on the esteemed red carpet, which is more than any other Indian celeb. Notably, for Cannes 2023, the actress upped her fashion game and walked the red carpet in a sparkling silver hooded gown from the label Sophie Couture. However, her look failed to impress netizens and they started trolling Aish.
In the photos that have surfaced online from the event, the Taal actress could be seen donning a beautiful and unique silver gown that was her structured like a giant hood and covered her head. Her floor-sweeping gown was adorned with dainty aluminum paillettes and crystals. It also featured an oversized black bow detail cinched on her waist. Aish styled her look with bold red lips and left her sleek tresses open. Reacting to her look, several netizens expressed their dismay and slammed the actress' choice of outfit. One Insta user wrote, “Chicken shorma lag rahi hai aluminium foil me.” Another said, “U need a good hair stylist boring hairs (sic).” One troll said, “What’s wrong with her.” One of the comments can be read, “I think she confused the Met Gala with Cannes.” “Looks Disgusting,” reads another comment.
However, there were many fans who also complimented Aishwarya and called her ‘gorgeous.’ Earlier, the 49-year-old actor donned Valentino’s exquisite green cape dress in her first look. Aishwarya is attending the prestigious film festival with her daughter Aaradhya.
