Akshay Kumar faced the outrage of Twitterati when a screengrab of him liking a video of Jamia students being attacked went viral. To clarify his stand, the actor took to Twitter and said that it happened by ‘mistake’ and he in no way "supports such acts."

Historic decision of Citizenship Amendment Bill has been met with mixed reactions. It has divided India into two. On December 12, the bill was passed into an act by the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, after it was sanctioned by the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind. While a few have accepted the new change in the country, others are expressing their disappointment with the government through protests. The same has been happening on the social media world. Akshay Kumar, faced the outrage of Twitterati when a screengrab of him liking a controversial video went viral. The snapshot revealed he had 'liked' a video mocking the attack on Jamia students. After noticing the outrage of netizens against him on Twitter, he took to his handle and clarified that it happened by ‘mistake’ and that he in no way "supports such acts." His tweet read, “Regarding the ‘like’ on the tweet of Jamia Milia students, it was by mistake. Earlier pointing Akshay’s accidental like on the video, a user shared the screengrab and wrote, “For people requesting Bollywood stars for raising their voice against police brutality on Jamia students. Here is our Hero @akshaykumar who "likes" a tweet mocking brutal attack on Jamia Milia students. He has now unliked it. #JamiaProtest.”


This morning we reported, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt was also a part of a protest and raised his voice against CAB. While, on the other hand, responded to the filmmaker and questioned him  by saying, “Bhatt saab there are almost 50 Muslim countries in the world, close to 80 Christian/Catholic countries on this planet but in this entire world only one Hindu country, kyun mirchi lag rahi hain aapko if we protecting ourselves, kahan jayenge Hindus ?”
