Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, apart from his brilliant acting skills, is also known for his fitness and healthy lifestyle. Seems like it runs in the family as Akshay shares a post where his 75-year-old mother can be seen performing Yoga!

Akshay Kumar took to social media on International Yoga Day to give us all some major inspiration. In this post of his mother doing Yoga, she can be seen sitting with her legs folded, eyes closed, simply meditating. In the caption,  Akshay Kumar reveals that his mother had undergone a knee surgery recently in spite of which she started doing yoga gradually and improving day- by- day. He posted on Instagram and wrote:” Sharing something I’m extremely proud of...post her knee surgery at the age of 75, my mother started doing yoga and now it is part of daily routine, improving one day at a time.”

This is indeed inspirational! The post received a lot of likes and comments on Instagram and Twitter both. Akshay Kumar retweeted an image shared by a fan whose mother, an amputee and a survivor of terminal disease was doing a yoga asana and also wrote “She is a supermom”.


On the work front, Akshay Kumar is currently shooting for the cop drama movie Sooryavanshi and a horror comedy Laxmmi Bomb. He also has other movies like Housefull 4 and Mission Mangal lined up after these. Reportedly, Akshay Kumar is also set to recreate the song Tip Tip Barsa Paani in Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi.
