Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Fawad Khan starrer Kapoor & Sons completes 5 years of its release today. Released on March 18, 2016, the movie spoke about a dysfunctional family; two estranged brothers played by Sidharth and Fawad reuniting after years. Alia took to her Insta Stories shared series of behind the scenes videos to celebrate this day. These videos have Alia playing games with the crew and her former BF Sidharth Malhotra, knock-knock jokes she had with director Shakun Batra, practising for her scenes and songs.

This was followed by a series of Insta Stories, just carrying the text, “5 YEARS OF KAPOOR AND SONS” with red heart emoji. Alia played the role of Sidharth and Fawad’s onscreen friend, who stands with their family in their highs and lows. Also, this Shakun Batra helmed flick was produced by Karan Johar who mostly produces extravagant films under his banner. Thus, making Kapoor & Sons stand apart from the rest of the films KJo backed so far. The film was critically acclaimed.
