So it is officially confirmed and also heartbreaking that handsome hunk Chris Evans will be no more seen as Captain America in MCU's forthcoming ventures. While the fans are connected to him after he played the iconic superhero from 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger to Avengers: Endgame in 2019, it is now confirmed he won't be associated with the hit franchise any more. The actor some time back has already cleared the rumours and now a similar confirmation has come from Marvel's president, Kevin Feige.
As reported in Entertainment Weekly, he said, “I rarely answer no to anything anymore because things are always surprising me with what happens, but that rumour, I think, was dispelled rather quickly by the man himself” The actor too while clearing this rumour in one of his social media posts had penned, “News to me”. So now after 2 confirmations, we can only say fans will definitely miss Chris Evans who entertained them for 8 years as he played Captain America on screen.
Evans, penning a final goodbye to this iconic superhero in his acting career, tweeted, “Officially wrapped on Avengers 4. It was an emotional day, to say the least. Playing this role over the last 8 years has been an honour. To everyone in front of the camera, behind the camera, and in the audience, thank you for the memories! Eternally grateful.”
In the forthcoming venture, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, we will see actor Anthony Mackie who has stepped into the shoes of Sam Wilson / Falcon using Captain America’s shield handed over to him in Avengers: Endgame.
