After Vinta Nanda and Sandhya Mridul, Deepika Amin shared her story on her social media account. On Wednesday, Amin came forward to reveal how Alok Nath had offended her.
On Twitter, Deepika shared, “Everyone in the industry knows that #AlokNath is an obnoxious drunkard who harasses women. Years ago on a telefilm outdoor shoot he tried to barge into my room. He slobbered over women, drunk and created a scene. The unit rallied around me and made sure I was safe. #metoo”
Deepika recently worked with Alok Nath once again on the film Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. She shared on Facebook, “Everyone in the industry knows that #AlokNath is an obnoxious drunkard who harasses women. Years ago on a telefilm outdoor shoot he tried to barge into my room. He slobbered over women, drunk and created a scene. The unit rallied around me and made sure I was safe. I was quite young but I still remember vividly how horrible he was.”
Her Facebook post further read, “But recently on the shoot of Sonu Ke Titu ki Sweety he was quiet and subdued . Maybe he has changed? Maybe because the director Luv Ranjan made it clear he wouldn’t tolerate bad behaviour. But after reading Vinta Nanda’s heartbreaking account I felt I had to support her. BELIEVE WOMEN. They have everything to lose by speaking out. #IbelieveyouVintaNanda #metoo #Timesup”.
Actress Renuka Shahane has now tweeted on her behalf calling it true and wrote "I remember you sharing this with me many many years ago. Brave of you to come out & talk about this harassment. You, @sandymridul & @vintananda My heart goes out to you brave women
We got in touch with Deepika sharing the incident, "In my first post have already said everything what was their so there is nothing new to add. It happened very very long ago. It was not that a big trauma that it took me a lot of time to come out of it. There were lot of people there and everyone saw it. I spoke to many of my friends including Renuka Shahane about the incident and now she has also tweeted on my behalf.

People are questioning Renuka of not revealing it till now...
They are stupid people who are asking me this. Are people crazy? I shared it with Renuka as a friend. How could she go and broadcast it to the world? . In 1995, when this happened- there was no twitter. Mere saath aisa-waisa kuch nahi hua. Mere saath sirf ek drunk aadmi mere upar gir raha tha. It happens with the ladies. Let's face it, it happens often in parties and weddings. Woh Uncle zara zyada pee gaye aur beta-beta karke sabke upar gir gaye. Bolna zarrori tha, so that people come to know this is what he does to girls.
But you worked with him again in Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety...
Yaa, I worked with him in Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety- 20 years later. I am not going to give up work for a stupid man like Alok Nath. I just thought, yeh dangerous aadmi hain inse bachke rehna hoga. And I managed.
When the incident happened with you, were you aware about his behaviour?
No. I was just a year old in the industry, then. But now that I have been around for long, I have realised that almost everyone knows this thing about him. It's an open secret. But the amazing part of this whole thing is that despite he being so infamous, he has got so much of work in the industry.
Hmmm... what kind of punishment are you expecting for Alok Nath?
I really don't know. He should be punished in a way that it does not happen ever with anyone in future.
