Alok Nath On Rape Accusations: “Kuch Toh Log Kahenge. I'm Neither Denying, Nor Accepting It”

Alok Nath spoke to an online portal about the rape allegations levelled against him by TV producer and writer, Vinta Nanda. Taking a controversial stand, he says, “We only have to hear woman's stand because they are considered weak.”

Alok Nath has been accused of rape by senior TV writer-producer, Vinta Nanda. The Tara hitmaker took to social media and narrated the entire incident, late last evening. She first labelled the actor as ‘most #Sanskaari (Cultured) person in the film and television industry’, later, she confirmed that it was Alok Nath indeed, to IANS. Now, for the first time Alok Nath has reacted on the rape allegations. While speaking to ABP News, the ‘sanskaari’ actor said, “Kuch to log kahenge." He added, “Neither I’m denying this nor would I agree with it. It (rape) must have happened, but someone else would have done it. Well, I do not want to talk much about it as for the matter if it has come out, it will be stretched.”

The actor further told the website, “Why do I have to be concerned with people say? Your soul should be pure. People will say anything to tarnish your image. Whatever has been said is absolutely rubbish. ”

Alok Nath also spoke about his friendship with the writer, he said, "At one time she used to be such a good friend, today she has said such a big thing. In a way, it was I who made her what she is." Further speaking about the issue he said, "It is useless to react on the allegations as in today's world whatever a woman says, only that will be considered. In such a situation, it would be wrong to say anything."


Talking about the #MeToo movement and said, “Everybody is talking about this. Under #MeToo movement many revelations are being made. "However, we only have to hear to women's stand because they are considered weak."
