ANDAR KI BAAT: Will R Madhavan Replace Vikram To Play Shivaji In Ajay Devgn’s Taanaji?

A month ago, Ajay Devgn had taken to Twitter to unveil the poster of Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior. “He fought for his People, his Soil & his King Chhatrapati Shivaji. The unsung warrior of glorious Indian history, Subedar Taanaji Malusare (sic),” he wrote alongside the poster of the film.

While Ajay will essay the role of Subedar Taanaji Malusare, we hear South actor Vikram was zeroed down to play Chhatrapati Shivaji in the venture.

However, much before the film could go on floors, buzz suggests that Vikram is no longer a part of the venture.

Reason? Well, early whispers emanating from the corridors of Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and Ajay Devgn Films have reached SpotboyE.com and going by them we bring to you that Vikram’s starry tantrums and constant requests to make his role longer contributed to the makers rethinking their decision.

Ajay will be seen essaying the role of Subedar Taanaji Malusare, who fought alongside Chatrapathi Shivaji Maharaj. He was one of Shivaji's closest friends, hailing from the Malusare clan and the two had known each other since childhood. According to legend, he received the summons while at his son's wedding, and immediately left the festivities.

Official announcement is yet in the offing. Let’s see if Madhavan indeed beats Vikram to the post or will we have another winner?
