Actor Angad Bedi is all set for his next web series as he dons a brand new look for Ekta Kapoor’s The Verdict. The actor, who was last seen in Soorma as Diljit Dosanjh’s eldest brother, will now be seen as a lawyer in this web series. Based on a real life incident, The Verdict narrates the story of Nanavati murder case.

This would be the first time Angad will be seen playing the role of a lawyer onscreen. He will be seen essaying the real life character of Karl Jamshedji Khandalavala as the defence counsel on the famous case of all time K M Nanavati vs State of Maharashtra. Nanavati murder case is considered  one of India’s biggest and high profile court cases.

Angad Bedi calls this his toughest role till date as he shared a post on Instagram revealing the first look of him as Karl Jamshedji Khandalavala. He wrote, "Karl jamshed khandalavala!! My toughest role till date.. #theverdictstatevsnanavati thank you @ektaravikapoor @Sam khan and @shashantshah for putting your faith in me."

According to a report in Mid- Day, the actor and his styling team dedicated weeks to fnalise his look. Angad Bedi told Mid- Day, "We decided to stick to suits while playing with accessories. So, the rimless round spectacles were brought in, and a pocket watch was added to lend [an air of] arrogance." Talking about the challenges he faced to play the role in the 10-part web series, Bedi says, "To portray a real-life character is the toughest job. It is easy to play your age. But here, I play [an older] man who is sure of himself and has never lost a case in his life. To internalise Karl, I spent time studying his body language. I also read up on the laws prevalent in the 1950s.”

With such a challenging role, we can’t wait to see how the actor manages to pull it off!
