Bollywood's blockbuster of the year Animal, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, initially stirred excitement with high ticket prices upon its December 2023 release. However, the film's producers have decided to reduce the ticket rates to an affordable Rs 100. Despite the price drop, the Sandeep Reddy Vanga-helmed 'Animal' has already surpassed the remarkable milestone of Rs 500 crore at the domestic box office within three weekends of its release. During a recent celebration of the film's success, Anil Kapoor dubbed Rashmika Mandanna as the movie's lucky charm, indicating the ongoing triumph of Vanga's A-rated movie. The film emerged as the biggest opening of Ranbir Kapoor's career, delving into the intricate tale of a father-son relationship. The narrative revolves around Ranvijay, fiercely protective and consumed by an obsessive love for his father, essayed by Anil Kapoor. Throughout the over-three-hour-long saga, the protagonist's character intimidates anyone obstructing his devotion to his father. Backed by the collaborative efforts of Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar's T-Series, Murad Khetani's Cine1 Studios, and Pranay Reddy Vanga's Bhadrakali Pictures, this crime drama hit the screens on December 1, 2023. Despite being in controversy and attracting negative reviews, Animal stood tall against all odds and did a worldwide business of above rs 900 crore. The movie was released in five languages - Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
