Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, his youngest son Azad Khan, and his second ex-wife Kiran Rao are making the headlines for singing at Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare’s sangeet that was held on Tuesday evening. The wedding festivities are in full swing as the newlyweds, their families, and close friends celebrate their union to the fullest. After leaving fans gushing about their pyjama party, videos from their sangeet are going viral, which have now become the talk of the town.
Having tied the knot by signing their marriage certificate on January 3, the couple is all set to reportedly get married in a traditional Marathi wedding on January 10. Their wedding festivities are going on at the Taj Aravali Resort, Udaipur. For their sangeet, the bride and groom had a special surprise in store as Aamir, Kiran and Azad serenaded their guests with beautiful songs. In a video that has surfaced on the internet, the brother is seen dedicating ‘Phoolon Ka Taaron Ka’ to his sister as his parent sing along with him. Everyone opted to wear traditional and ethnic clothes leaving fans gushing about it. It was Ira’s outfit, however, that stole the show. She donned a traditional lehenga with intricate embroidery. The 27-year-old kept her makeup minimal, she opted to wear a red riding hood cape instead of a traditional dupatta. On the other hand, the groom complimented his bride by wearing a black shirt, and pants and pairing it with a brown blazer. For those who don’t know, Nupur is a fitness coach, who has trained Bollywood celebrities like Sushmita Sen and Aamir Khan. On the other hand, Ira made her directorial debut in 2019 with the stage production ‘Euripides' Medea,’ an adaptation of Euripides' Greek tragedy Medea. Apart from this, she also launched Agastu Foundation, which aims to help and support people battling with mental health issues. Having met during the pandemic, the couple got engaged in September 2022 during a sports event. They proceeded to host an engagement party for their family in November of the same year.
