Former Indian Captain Virat Kohli is playing his 100th Test Match against Sri Lanka in Mohali, Punjab. Ahead of his big match, Kohli was felicitated by BCCI for an eminent accomplishment. On his big day, Kohli’s wife and actor Anushka Sharma joined her husband and became a part of his new achievement.
The ‘Wall’ of Indian Cricket Team Rahul Dravid gave a ceremonial cap to Virat Kohli before the match. He handed the cap to his lady love and was heard saying, “Ye le jao please”. Up there on the stands, Virat’s mother, brother, and his daughter Vamika cheered for the batsman. In a white ruffled top and beige pants, Anushka looked beautiful. Kohli in an interview shared by BCCI on its social media handles showed gratitude towards his wife and spoke about the influence she has on him. He was quoted saying “Anushka has been a huge, huge influence in my life. Not just you know, eventually the influence in your life that filters down to your game as well because your game is part of life. I have become a completely changed man for all the right reasons. I have evolved in the right way. I am very, very grateful and thankful to God to have a life partner like her and she’s been an absolute pillar of strength for me.”
For the unversed, only 71 players have been able to make 100 or more test matches and Virat is among the 12 Indian sportsmen to achieve this record.
