Anushka Sharma Is NOT Playing The Surrogate Mother In Jasmine
With Anushka out of the picture, will it be Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who will play the surrogate mother in this much-talked-about film?
There has been a lot of talk about who would play the lead in Prernaa Arora's upcoming venture Jasmine.
While initially, there were rumours about Anushka Sharma, playing the lead in this women-centric film, Aishwarya’s name came up just a short while back.
Now, talking exclusively to SpotboyE.com, Prernaa Arora said, "Anushka Sharma is one of the finest actors of our time. Every producer wants her to helm their film. We had earlier expressed that it would be great to have her in Jasmine but we would like to clarify that we had never approached Anushka to do the film. The rumours are completely untrue and we vehemently refute this information."
Well, that settles the rumours about Anushka!
Prernaa had said a few days back that Aishwarya topped her wish list. "We would love to have her but it will depend on her dates," said the producer.
Talking of the film, a few days back the first poster of Jasmine broke the Internet. KriArj entertainment shared the poster with the caption, "Expect the unexpected. Here’s the poster of #Jasmine - story of a leased womb. Delivering soon! #2018 #ShreeNarayanSingh @iprernaarora #ArjunNKapoor @jackkybhagnani #SiddharthGarima #VashuBhagnani #PoojaFilms (sic)."
Jasmine would be Shree Narayan Singh’s third collaboration with KriArj after Toilet: Ek Prem Katha & Batti Gul Meter Chalu.
Jasmine is inspired by a real life story of a woman in Gujarat who doesn't want to have children but decides to become a surrogate mother for someone else. After a point she gets attached to the child and wants the child back.
