Shah Rukh Khan had recently claimed that Anushka Sharma had walked up to him during the shoot of her debut movie, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, and told him, ‘You can’t act’. Here is her rebuttal
She was a debutant, he was a superstar. So it shocked all when Shah Rukh Khan recently revealed that Anushka Sharma was not in awe of him during the shoot of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008).
It was during an interview with Rajeev Masand that Shah Rukh Khan had said that Anushka had told him point-black, ‘You can’t act’.

When we met Anushka, we asked her about her co-star’s comment and this is what she had to say.
“I have never said that. In my life I have never said that. He just likes to pull my leg, constantly saying that all around. But that’s not a fact at all,” says Anushka.
The banter aside, Anushka and SRK remain frequent collaborators. Anushka has united with her first onscreen co-star for the third time after Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Jab Tak Hai Jaan in Jab Harry Met Sejal.

Rewind to Shah Rukh’s statement. On being told that Anushka was in awe of him (something she mentioned in her first interview), the superstar was quick to call it a lie.
“I have said this before and I’ll say this again – right in the beginning of the shoot (Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi), she came up to me and said, “You can’t act”. Ask her… And I was appreciative because she can learn lines just like I do. She learns fantastic lines and she does a great job. So I was like really in love with her and the way she’d talk,” the superstar had said.
