Apurva Asrani Celebrates Decriminalisation Of Homosexuality, Shares Loved-Up Pic With Boyfriend From Eiffel Tower

Writer Apurva Asrani known for films like Aligarh and Shahid, and most recently in news for his public fallout with Kangana Ranaut over Simran, has always been an advocate of #loveislove. He is one of the few people in the public glare to have come out of the closet, rather early on.

After Supreme Court’s landmark judgement decriminalising homosexuality in India, the LGBT community is over the moon, and so are supporters of gay pride. Beaming with joy, Apurva shared a loved-up picture with his manlove, Siddhant Pillai. The two can be seen posing in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Check out the picture below:

Apurva and Siddhant have been together for the last 11 years. Last year in an interview to Hindustan Times, Apurva had waxed eloquent about his relationship, “We have taken each day as it came, refusing to fly into rosy notions of eternal romance. If you wake up every day, not bound by any social contract, and still want to be together, that’s magic!”

Siddhant and Apurva, stay together in Mumbai, their parents support the decision. “All our parents wanted to know if we had a stable partner who will stick by us through thick and thin. Our happiness mattered the most to them. When they saw that we share the same values, they were relieved,” added Asrani. More power this lovely couple!
