Asha Bhosle turned 83 yesterday. A leading entertainment channel organised an event to mark the legendary singer’s birthday. The singer spoke about a host of things at the event – from her singing career to writing her autobiography.
For a long time now, rumours are rife about a biopic being made on Asha Bhosle. When the singer was asked which actress would be the right choice for the biopic, Asha didn’t bat an eyelid before quipping, “I think I will play my character very well.”
On a serious note, she then added, “If not me, it should be Priyanka Chopra because she is also a singer. Only a singer will understand my emotions well. So I think she is the right choice.”
Asha also revealed that she has completed writing her autobiography. “I have finished writing it, I am just waiting for the right time to release it. I promise you, you will soon see my autobiography,” she exclaimed.
Zeenat Aman, Tabu, Moushumi Chatterjee, Helen, Shaan, Udit Narayan, cricketer Ajinkya Rahane, Sharad Pawar and Amit Kumar graced the occasion. Urmila Matondkar, Radhika Apte, Terence Lewis and a few other celebs even performed at the event.
