Fans have been excited for Sara Ali Khan, Akshay Kumar and Dhanush starrer Atrangi Re ever since it was announced. While the film went on floors in Varanasi in March, but the shoot came to a grinding halt as the nationwide lockdown was announced, owing to the Coronavirus pandemic. The team once again resumed production in October, and Sara Ali Khan had been shooting with her co-star Dhanush for the second schedule of the film. Now, Akshay Kumar has joined them for the shoot too, and Sara Ali Khan is ecstatic!
As Akshay Kumar joined the shoot, Sara Ali Khan welcomed him by dedicating a special post on social media. Sharing a glimpse from the shoot, Sara posted a picture of her with Akshay Kumar, and in her caption, she expressed how privileged, and excited she is to be working with him. “AtrangiRe becomes more Rangeen! @akshaykumar so privileged, excited and thankful to be working with you!” she wrote. In the snap, Sara and Akshay Kumar were all smiles.

Meanwhile, Sara Ali Khan recently opened up about filming for Atrangi Re amidst the pandemic. While speaking to PTI, she said, “Over a month ago I was shooting for the second schedule of ‘Atrangi Re’ I’m now sitting in a room where people are wearing masks, suits and gloves. It’s a little strange. It was the same on set, with my director in a mask and gloves. It was different.
