Bobby Deol’s return to the big screen will take longer than he had imagined. SpotboyE has it that Changez has been put on the backburner. So what exactly went wrong?
The Vivek Singh Chauhan-directed movie was supposed to go on floors in mid-January. However, we hear, the financer pulled the plug on the project at the last minute.
Turns out, he had promised a sum of approximately Rs 10 crore but decided against investing in the film, given the current heavy losses in the industry.
Now, that spells trouble for Bobby, who has been working hard on his body over the last one year for his role. The actor even grew his facial fuzz and has been sporting a full-bearded look for the past few months.
The film has had its share of problems from the start – the makers had approached Nargis Fakhri and then, Lisa Haydon for the female lead. However, both the actresses turned them down (Lisa turns down Bobby Deols film, May 2).
Moreover, the project was to roll originally in May last year. But Sunny Deol, who is producing the movie, pushed it to 2016 as he was busy with Ghayal Once Again.
